Job Description: MEP AutoCAD - Drafter
Rushing is a client focused, Seattle based, MEP (Mechanical, Electrical & Plumbing) engineering and sustainability consulting firm. Our firm is founded on the understanding that a multi-disciplinary approach is critical in evaluating building performance from a whole-building perspective.
We are looking to fill a MEP AutoCAD – Drafter position. Rushing focuses on a variety of different market sectors: commercial office, retail, residential, mixed use, research & development, biotech, and office high tech.

Duties include:
• Execute production drafting as required to meet deadlines
• Ensure drafting standards are met and maintained
• Assist other staff with trouble shooting computer, software and printer issues
• Commitment to supporting aggressive project deadlines.

This position reports to the Director of Engineering.

Skills Requirements: Qualifications:
•A.A. or A.S. technical degree (or equivalent experience)
•Proficient in AutoCAD MEP (mandatory)
•Experience with Revit MEP preferred
•Experience in mechanical, plumbing, and electrical drafting a plus
•Experience in overall drafting processes, layer control, reference files, viewports, scale factors, blocks and attributes
•Experience with LISP programming a plus
•Familiarity with document control and management
•Must be a self-starter, be a highly motivated team player, and able to work under time constraints with a flexible schedule
•Attention to detail and ability to provide consistently clean and well organized drawings
•Experience troubleshooting CAD and computer problems (basic IT skills)
•Excellent organizational skills.
•Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
