ENGINEERS, GEOLOGISTS, AND SCIENTISTS/PROJECT MANAGER
This is a senior level position. Employees will gain skills through structured training and guided on-the-job-training. Employees may be assisted by few aides or technicians. Supervisor screens assignments for unusual or difficult problems and selects techniques and procedures to be applied on non-routine work. Receive close supervision on new aspects of assignments. Progression will require an employee to demonstrate skills and knowledge of the position they currently hold. Employees remain at each position for at least 24 months.

JOB DESCRIPTION AND DUTIES: Duties include, but are not limited to the following:

• Administer and manage engineering, sciences, and construction related projects;
• Develop and administer standard operating procedures for quality assurance and quality control compliance;
• Validate the need for new or specialty equipment and prepare an annual capital budget for the Division;
• Review, on a biweekly basis, the current status of each project with the Management Team, with a focus on major project status (current and upcoming);
• Ensure that the appropriate multiplier is used on proposals and contracts with a focus on the complete utilization of assigned human resources;
• Prepare monthly client invoices and/or as required by the contract;
• Provide technical review for deliverables;
• Prepare cost proposals;
• Oversee and manage project technical activities within the Engineering & Sciences Division;
• Establish and maintain appropriate guidelines, policies, engineering standards and specifications that are required for the safe and efficient operation of assigned projects;
• Establish and maintain compliance with all federal, state, and local regulatory agency requirements;
• Oversee and manage environmental assessments and remedial designs and other technical and scientific activities that are required by the client base;
• Provide technical assistance to the Construction Division to assist with engineering and/or environmental issues that may impact project schedules, and budgets; and,
• Responsible for the management and coordination of site activities.

JOB SKILL
• Knowledge and ability to carry out a sequence of related engineering tasks;
• Exercise limited judgment on details of work;
• Make preliminary selections and adaptations of engineering alternatives; and
• Possess excellent writing skills.
Skills Requirements: QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
• Bachelor's or Masters Degree in Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Geology, Hydrogeology, Environmental Science, or closely-related discipline from an ABET accredited curriculum, or equivalent, plus relevant continuing education; and
• A minimum of 7 to 10 years of experience.

SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS, REGISTRATIONS AND CERTIFICATIONS
• Certified Professional Engineer or Geologist;
• OSHA 40-hour HAZWOPER certification;
• 8-hr OSHA HAZWOPER supervisory certification (Levels II and III); and
• Proficient in Microsoft Office; and
• Knowledge of AutoCAD preferred.
