Job Specifics
Job Description: Responsibilities: Design and manage stream restoration projects for public, non-profit, and private clients; perform hydraulic/hydrologic studies; conduct analysis for culvert and bridge design; integrate and expand low impact development opportunities for surface water management. Some travel in Eastern and Western Washington. Experience with open channel flow and sediment transport models preferred. Successful candidate will work with a multidisciplinary team of accomplished biologists, geologists, engineers, landscape architects and planners in a growing company.
Skills Requirements: Qualifications:
1. P.E. licensed, specializing in water resource engineering
2. At least five years of water resource engineering experience
3. Demonstrated experience and passionate interest in stream restoration design and project management, including project scoping, budgeting, and cost estimating
4. Demonstrated ability and interest in hydraulic/hydrologic analysis, modeling, culvert and bridge sizing, and floodplain determinations
5. Ability to perform data synthesis and scientific report writing
6. Excellent field skills measuring physical parameters of streams and lakes
7. Excellent oral and written communications
8. The ability to meet and work with diverse clients and generate new work
