Workplace Manager
Location: St. Louis, MO
Monsanto, an Ag industry leader creating scientific breakthroughs around the world, is seeking a St. Louis Workplace Manager (SLWM). The SLWM is responsible for the design, development and implementation of enterprise-wide strategies and initiatives for Monsanto that result in increased efficiencies, strategies and workplace solutions. The SLWM will have an ongoing, high degree of visibility across the corporation, working with senior management and workplace professionals on our master plan initiative.
The successful incumbent will serve as the internal/external expert on workplace matters and act as primary contact for potential workplace initiatives, working with external design professionals, internal departments and leadership in negotiating our strategy. Develop, market, influence and promote Monsanto's workplace strategies and initiatives. The SLWM is expected to develop awareness, commitment and gather support from key internal stakeholders for Monsanto's workplace initiatives.
Implements and oversee the facilitation and execution of all moves’ activities and training programs, facility and employee database analysis and reporting, workplace programming and designs, standards and execution for the St. Louis Master Plan encompassing more than 3M square feet.
Oversee our interface with key contributors from IT, HR, Safety and Security to ensure accuracy, consistency and compliance. The SLWM will prepare management reports of accomplishments, including real estate leasing activities, employee and facility data and project updates and spend. Supervise workplace information for surveys, questionnaires and interact with senior management.
This position will have people (4) and business management responsibilities for Moves & Furniture Management, Technical Services and two Designers, along with contractual responsibility for our support vendors.

| Skills Requirements: |
Required Skills/Experience/Attributes:
BS degree or higher in Architecture or Interior Design.
At least 7 years of collective experience in corporate planning, design and churn.
At least 5 years of experience in people management.
Ability to create new strategies and market them internally.
Ability to achieve visibility and commitment from key internal stakeholders.
Interpersonal, teamwork and influencing skills to direct the cross-functional teams required to gain support to design and deliver solutions, communicate results and promote change.
Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to develop and leverage relationships with associates at all levels of management.
Two-way communication skills -- verbal and written, to understand and communicate issues and solutions.
Initiative, sense of urgency and organizational awareness to problem-solve the issues faced.
Ability to negotiate new outcomes that result in progress for our workplace strategy.
Budget accountability.
Monsanto competencies; relationships and networks, courage and candor, agility, initiative and foresight, results and orientation.
Proficiency in Microsoft 2007 Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
Knowledge of CAFM or similar systems.
AutoCAD.
